eputy Commissioner (DC) Sohail Ahmed Tipu was found dead at his residence on Th
ursday.
According to Addit
ional Medical Superintendent (AMS) Dr Gulzar, Tipu’s dead body was found hanging from a fan.
“His (Tipu) tied hands indicate that he may not have attempted to take his own life,” Dr Gulzar said. He further said that it seemed like a rope or wire was twisted twice around Tipu’s neck.

on on the cause of the death will be given after the forensic analysis.
Tipu was appointed as a d
eputy commissioner on December
11, 2017. He is survived by three daughters and a son.
A first information report (FIR) of the incident has been registered at a local police station.
