BAJAUR AGENCY: Philanthropist and social activist Haji Muhammad Nazir on Thursday announced that he had donated land, worth millions, for a degree college that the federal government had planned for the area.
He said the land had been allocated free of cost for vital interest of the masses and youth of the Bajaur Agency, adding that the establishment of the college had been delayed for the last three years due to unavailability of land.
He said that he had given an affidavit to the relevant political agent for allocation of land for the college. Haji Nazir however deplored that the FATA Secretariat was not taking interest in the project despite the fact that land was situated at a suitable place near the roads.
He requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and FATA additional chief secretary to take notice of the unnecessary delay in the project and issue orders for the immediate construction of the college on the land so that the youth of the underdeveloped tehsil of Bajaur could get higher education in their own area.
